Money Manny Pacquiao

See you those muscles and dollars?
As you read this blog entry of mine, most of you have heard that Manny Pacquiao has decided to give the broadcasting rights to ABS-CBN. We all viewed this last night and I am one of the many who where shocked and dropped their jaws when we saw Manny Pacquaio on Channel 2. The first thought that came through my mind was: “What the heck is he doing there?!” We all know that this guy is contracted under GMA and Solar Sports – obviously, because they are the ones who are broadcasting his fights and Manny had shows in GMA.
And then later this evening, the issue spread like freaking wildfire and people are now discussing Manny Pacquaio’s breach of contract with Solar and GMA Network. On the other hand, ABS-CBN welcomed Pacquaio’s new allegiance with them, citing further that they have not violated the contract between Manny Pacquiao, Solar and GMA in an email sent by ABS to GMA.
Which makes me wonder: What are the reasons of Manny Pacquiao to breach his contract with his 2 media partners? In a GMA news article , it says:
It was also reported that Pacquiao favored the other network because of ABS-CBN’s dominance in Sarangani and the international presence of their reporters. GMA Network’s news teams and existing contributors in key areas worldwide adequately cover important events like those of Pacquiao’s activities. GMA also has superior signal quality in General Santos City and environs.
Oh, okay but isnt that considered to be prohibited? I got this answer from the article itself:
GMA Network said it did not offer the same to Pacquiao because the Omnibus Election Code prohibits television networks from doing so. Section 95 of the code states that “no contribution for purposes of partisan political activity shall be made directly or indirectly” by grantees of franchises such as television networks.
Anyways, I’m quite disappointed with his actions. Why? Contracts are terms of agreement – you just cant breach them easily by doing something like this. Contracts are agreement between 2 parties and held in good faith. I dont know what’s wrong with Pacquiao lately. Contracts are meant to be respected and enacted upon, unless, if there is a circumstance (aside from this) that will lead to the termination the agreement. In this case, you just cant ditch anybody or leave them hanging and say “ayoko na”. Everybody knows that contracts are meant to be taken seriously. Hindi tayo mga bata na naglalaro lang ng pirma-pirmahan tapos ayawan na. Di ba?
Or perhaps may iba pang dahilan? Whatever it is, si Pacquiao lang ang nakakaalam.
I dont know if Manny is conscious about his public image – people idolize him and when they heard something like this? Well, you cant stop them from thinking and pondering about Manny’s motives. Not to mention that he got into some troubles na din lately.
Okay, I’ll leave this entry short as I am prohibiting myself from getting hot-headed and nasty over this.
Ikaw, what do you think of this issue?

did he really breach his contract with GMA? or it ended na? hindi naman puede cguro nya ito gagawin kung may contract pa sya sa ibang network. i don’t really care kung saang network sya as long as i can watch his fights.. it is his prerogative din naman..

This is the 2nd blog na nabasa ko ang tungkol kay pacquiao at sa totoo lang i find the move unethical. Nagbabasa ba siya ng mga kontrata niya? GMA is right that he is breaching his contracts…
Actually, his action only proved what kind of person he is: Pacquaio naman talaga is not fighting for the glory of our country eh…For fame lang talaga at glory ng kanyang pockets. Hay sana, mahimasmasan na yung mga fanatic dyan, wake up! Hayan ang tunay na kulay ni Money oh…este…Manny pala… *lol*

i never considered pacman a sensible and noble person..he may always include God and Filipinos on his speeches that it’s already getting redundant (noticed?). i’m not a psch but i know he’s unreal..ayusin niya buhay niya.wag siyang balimbing..or else, more and more filipinos will hate, or worst, baka sa kangkungan siya pulutin.imagine? pacman, a millionaire, sa kangkungan?
hehe
yun lang..

Pacquiao kept his contract with Solar… after promising ABS-CBN that they will have the airtime right.
What is this guy thinking?!
He thinks he can just undo anything that he does? This move only prove what kind of person he his.
I’m still waiting what ABS-CBN has to say about this. Pacquiao only jumped from the frying pan to the fire.

Some sort of Reesie…kasi he made an appearance sa Channel 2 kagabi then he announced he will be partnering na with ABS without the permission of GMA and Solar.
Ako din, I dont care to what channel does he appear. What I am kinda disappointed at is his way of breaching contracts.

Thank you Madam Snow sa inyong pagdayo…
Oo nga eh..hindi naman siya siguro bata para hindi malaman ng unethical ang ginawa nya. A contract is a contract – dapat mag-ayos nga siya. Pasaway.
