My blog-friend of mine, Captain Jepoy who blogs at Captain’s Log emailed me today about the plight of the people in Barangay Sta. Lucia in Novaliches, Quezon City. It so happens that Lalaine’s aunt – their home and everything else (Lalaine is connected to Jepoy) was washed away by the same deluge that affected thousands of our kababayans in the Metro. Here is a picture of the devastating scenario of their location there:

The family did not have anything left. Not even clothes. Here are more details coming from Jepoy’s email:
Contact: Lalaine Orozco or Marlen Orozco

Number: 0922-7474398

Yes, Barrio Bayanihan in Barrio Siete is indeed rolling. 24 hours after it was posted, the fund drive is able to gather quite a number of dollars – all of which will be helpful to the needy people. As stated previously, all donations made to this fund drive will go to the Philippine National Red Cross. We are hoping that in this way, every cent, penny, nickle and dime will really, really go a long way in helping our fellow Filipinos out there.
As an update to this fund drive, here are the latest:
