Random Find: Films by Genre in the Past 100 Years (Graph)

Posted by Silver on Nov 3, 2009 in Commentaries and Opinions, Showbiz and Entertainment |

I found this interesting graph in Digg.com which shows films by genre in the past 100 years. Check it out.

So what do you think peeps? Honestly, I am quite surprised with short films. Using the graph, we can say that they are the all-time favorites among the audiences. So do the comedic films (who cant laugh at Charlie Chaplin and Jim Carrey anyway?). Not to mention also, drama. Everyone loves a dose of drama once in a while – from Gone with the Wind to City of Angels. But with the data showed in this graph, I am really surprised with the preferences in the genre – especially in the course of 100 years!

What do you think about it? Fire away your thoughts in the comment threads below. :)
