The Bloody Visions of the 2010 Elections
Like most Filipinos, I am well acquainted with the fact that during elections here in our country, everything can get as hairy as a hairball and bloody as any bloodpool out there. Especially in the provinces, like those in Mindanao, where families / clans rule politically in a disputed municipality or province. I just read the gruesome news this morning about the abduction, hostage and massacre of a convoy affiliated with Toto Mangudadatu.
This convoy was supposedly to file the Certificate of Candidacy for the gubernatorial position in behalf of Mangudadatu. Included in the convoy was his wife, sister and cousins. They were also accompanied by several mediamen and lawyers. It was supposed to be a media event in order to announce the gubernatorial candidacy but it turned out to be the most brutal days in the history of our country.
I am saddened with the loss of life and at the same time, furious at the insanity and monstrosity of this carnage. Knowing for a fact that the May 2010 elections is still far away and this season is only the beginning of the filing for candidacy. Alas, in our country, there exists power hungry barbarians who are brazen enough to abduct women and innocent journalists as well as lawyers, in broad daylight -- eventually killing them off. Some of them beheaded, some of them have pants pulled waist down. Some of them will eventually cry their innocence in their own pools of blood.
I mentioned in my Facebook page just a while ago -- inĀ a fit of anger:
Brutality in its most horrfying picture in Maguindanao. Jeez…I just hope somebody will nuke those barbarian bastards who killed the innocent women, lawyer and journalists there.
These bastards, instead of knowing democracy with the rule of votes, would rather rule through warlordism and spreading fear among their constituents. I also agree with the sentiments out there that this heinous crime is not because of religion but rather warlordism and clan feud. To anyone who spread bigotry and point fingers to the religion hoolahbalah are just stupid people who do not have any inkling of what is happening over in Mindanao and lacked the understanding of the events and history surrounding that place and even their religion, Islam.
I dont think that this has something to do with Islam but rather, this is just a show of aggression towards women, the violent clout that envelopes our country every damn elections and the lack of government response as well as law enforcement in those areas. Mismong si Mangudadatu na ang nagsabi na kahit yung police force dun e nababayaran ng prominent political clan doon.
And to think that those 100 men, who did not have the heart and BALLS, (kasi babae at mga walang kalaban-laban lang ang kayang patulan) who just went out there and killed these innocent people, I just wished that someone would impose death penalty on these guys. Wag na natin ikulong, lethal injection na agad. Another thing to ponder on is that the prominent family who is alleged in this crime is also associated with the current administration.
WHAT THE F***!!!
Are we paying for the salaries of these mass murderers? A portion of the taxes that we give to the government went to this a$$*****???
This is what could be the start of the bloody visions of the 2010 elections. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD ACT NOW AND NOT PLAY SISSY WITH THESE FREAKING WARLORDS WHO ARE JUST WRECKING HAVOC IN MINDANAO.
By the way, I spotted this picture from twitpic. Someone posted it over Barrio Siete dot com. Warning: NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GRAPHIC IMAGE. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
